Time to Unwind: The Beginning of Something Bigger

So… You’ve Been Listening to My Latest Single “Time to Unwind,” Right?
You’ve heard it.
And hopefully, you’ve watched the video too.
I’ve been posting it in my stories, playing it at shows, letting it sneak into the background at events. If you’ve been around, you already know—it’s more than just a track I dropped.
It’s a whole vibe.
And you can tell it’s becoming more than a vibe or a catchy tune—it’s turning into a lifestyle. A mindset I’ve chosen to live by.

But more than that, it’s become something personal.
For me.
And honestly, maybe for you too.
Because I didn’t write “Time to Unwind” just to give people something to nod their heads to (even though I’m glad you do). I wrote it because I needed it.
I was overwhelmed, overthinking everything, trying to do the most—and running on empty.
And interestingly, I didn’t even realize it at first.
You ever feel that way?
Like you’re on go-mode for so long, you forget what “chilling” actually feels like?
If you could just pause for a second, you might notice the quiet damage happening in the background—the stuff that really needs your attention.
That’s where this song came from.
The Truth Behind the Lyrics
That line—“Too much on my mind… just trying to unwind…”—
wasn’t just a hook. It was me, on the edge of burnout, trying to slow down long enough to hear myself think.
At the time, life felt like one giant, never-ending to-do list:
School stuff. Side projects. Spiritual growth. Keeping up with friends. Songwriting. Gym. Eating clean. Trying to be “on” and productive all the time.
And I was tired.
Not just physically—mentally, emotionally, spiritually.
I knew I needed a break, but I felt guilty even thinking about it.
Sound familiar?
In Chapter 3 of my book (which, by the way, this song helped shape), I talk about how our culture glorifies busyness. It’s like, if you’re not exhausted, are you even trying?
But somewhere in that nonstop hustle, I had to stop and relearn something really simple but powerful:
Even passion needs a break. Even purpose needs rest.
“Everything works better when it’s been unplugged for a while—including you.”
This Is Bigger Than Just Music
So yeah—Time to Unwind is a song.
But it’s also a lifestyle I’m learning to live—and encouraging others to try, too.
And man… ever since I started embracing this mindset, things just feel clearer. I’m calmer. I can navigate the everyday chaos better. I’m more grounded.
This song is about reminding yourself that:
You don’t have to be “on” 24/7.
You don’t have to carry everything.
You don’t have to fix what’s not yours to fix.
It’s okay to stop.
To breathe.
To do nothing for a moment.
To feel something real again.
And what’s wild is how much this one song has sparked. It ended up inspiring the direction of my book. It’s led to new conversations, projects, and even movements—around wellness, mental clarity, and creative rest.
So Why Am I Telling You This Now?
Because chances are—you’ve already been listening.
Maybe you’ve been humming the chorus without realizing how deep it really goes.
Maybe you’ve added it to your “zone out” playlist or played it on a late-night drive.
And now—it’s time to connect the dots.
Time to Unwind isn’t just something I want you to hear.
It’s something I want you to live.
Not just for the vibe—but for your peace.
Let’s Make It a Movement
Here’s what I’m hoping:
That this song gives you permission to pause.
That you start sharing your own “unwind” moments—tag me or use #TimeToUnwind.
That you stay tuned—because everything coming next (the book, live shows, deeper convos) ties back to this exact message.
We’re not just making music here.
We’re building something bigger.
Something real.
It’s more than music.
It’s a movement.
Thanks for being part of it.
